Hoe dit werktHow this works
Whether the timestamp is genuine and covers exactly this document, whether the service that set it is on the EU trusted list and was at the time, and whether anything was added to the document after the timestamp. For the archive from the app also the inside: every photo against its signature and its hash (one pixel different and it fails), the sequence (every photo points to the previous one), the seal over the whole file, the device's signature under every photo, and the lower bound of the window. An edited, replaced or omitted photo fails here.
Wanneer het oordeel groen isWhen the verdict is green
Only when the file carries a registry receipt that verifies here: then EverStamp registered it in a period that was itself timestamped by a qualified service. An invented document can carry a genuine timestamp, because timestamp services stamp for anyone. Hence: never green without the registry. For that, one question goes to our registry: do you know this entry? Only the seal of the file travels with it, not the document and not the photos, and in our log we shield that seal.
Tijdstempel per dossier of per fotoTimestamp per file or per photo
Every photo carries the device clock to the second, an independent time anchor (not before) and the device's signature; EverStamp's signature is added once there is a connection. What a qualified timestamp adds is the other side: not after. The file shows the window between the time anchor and the timestamp, with the device clock as a stated value, and a photo signed later is marked as such. With a timestamp per file that timestamp sits on the file as a whole (and in the registry); per photo also in every photo separately. The line Timestamp says which of the two this file has. A file with a timestamp per file can be completed later, except with the timestamps in the photos themselves.

Compleet volgens de checklistComplete according to the checklist
A file follows a checklist: steps with a minimum number of photos, strict (the app only closes the file once every minimum is met) or free (the steps are a guide). The line Checklist counts the photos per step and says what is missing. That is context, not evidence: an incomplete file is no less genuine, only less complete. This page knows the built-in checklists; an organisation's own checklist travels inside the file.
Wat je zelf kunt verifiërenWhat you can verify yourself
The signatures and timestamps are in the file, and you can verify them without us. Only the confirmation that EverStamp registered the file comes from us: live from the registry, or for a file from the app from version 1.1 as the registry's signature in the file. Without that confirmation the verdict is never green. Adobe Reader shows the signature by itself. By hand: openssl ts -verify, with OpenSSL 3 (the default openssl on macOS is LibreSSL and cannot do this).
Your document stays on this device. Only the fingerprint of the file goes to our registry, with the question whether it knows that entry.
